Both Sporting Kansas City and FC Dallas are coming into this matchup with high morale, following respective wins earned this week. SKC was better than Sounders in the derby of the round, while on the other side, FC Dallas snapped a negative streak with a confident win at home over LA Galaxy. This was a refreshing moment for the guys from Texas, who preserved their chances of reaching the playoffs with this victory. Sporting, meanwhile, is sitting second in the West, two points behind Seattle, but with a game in hand.

Sporting Kansas City (-200) defeated Seattle on the road, narrowing the gap between them atop the Western Conference. A 1-3 victory at Lumen Field is superb for the team’s morale and proves that Peter Vermes’ boys aren’t just a temporary sensation but plan to go all the way.

Sporting didn’t lose a single match at home in this campaign, recording five wins and three draws, scoring at least twice in each win, and protecting its net just once in these eight games.

FC Dallas (+600) won on Sunday, only the second time in the previous 10 outings. Them trashing the LA Galaxy with 4-0 was one of the biggest surprises of the round because just a few expected to see them beating the team from LA, let alone humiliate them like this.

That match was the third consecutive for Dallas, with both teams not scoring, and the sixth in the last 10 with over 2.5 goals.

Now comes the bad part for all the FC Dallas fans. Their favorites played seven times on the road this year, losing all matches and scoring just two goals. They are arguably the worst team in this aspect in the entire MLS.

SKC can’t count on Tyler Freeman and Grayson Barber, who are out due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Felipe Hernandez has personal issues and won’t be playing while Gianluca Buso participates at the Gold Cup with the US team. Alan Pulido is with Mexico at the same competition.

For Dallas, Kyle Zobeck isn’t in the protocol due to an injury, the same as Beni Redzic, Matt Hedges, and Jose Martinez. Bryan Acosta could be back following Honduras’ elimination from the Gold Cup.
