NBA: Milwaukee Bucks vs. LA Lakers Preview, Odds, Prediction

The Milwaukee Bucks are ready to beat the LA Lakers and finish their stay in the City of Angels in the best possible way, winning both contests. And not only that, but the champs are here to show that they still have to be counted when talking about the title favorites. Lately, the media have forgotten Giannis and the crew, and to be honest, they didn’t get enough attention. Apparently, they are determined to get back under the spotlight following this road trip. On the other side, the Lakers won their most recent game, but Frank Vogel’s unit is not confident overall. Furthermore, they are looking mediocre.

Milwaukee Bucks (34-21, -200) won the last three games, two on the road. The first was in Portland against the Blazers, and after that in LA vs. Clippers. In both of them, the Bucks delivered 137 points, so we might say that their offense is in a good rhythm. Regardless of what many think about the Blazers’ and Clippers’ defenses, this is big.

The three-point shooting was excellent for Milwaukee, who hit 19 of its 38 attempts behind the arc. Pat Connaughton was 6-for-9, while Bobby Portis made four of his five attempts. The big man is playing excellent lately, and he ended this event with 24 buckets and 11 boards.

Giannis had 28 points, 10 boards and five assists, while Holiday scored 27 points and had 13 assists. Khris Middleton isn’t at his usual level but is still producing solid performances. He had 17 buckets with six rebounds and five assists in Portland.

LA Lakers (26-28, +160) have two wins in the last three games but aren’t looking good at all. After beating the Trail Blazers at home, they met with the Clippers and lost that one narrowly, 111-110, before beating the Knicks 122-115 after OT.

We saw excellent Malik Monk here, who once again showed that the Lakers might have a superstar potential beyond LBJ and Anthony Davis. The young shooting guard ended the game with 29 points, making all sorts of problems to the Knicks. LBJ had a triple-double with 29 points, 13 boards, and 10 assists, while AD posted 28 poins with 17 rebounds.

The problem in the Lakers’ game was Russell Westbrook sho had only five points, 1-for-10 from the field. Brody missed several important baskets, such as the late free throws, which caused the fans to boo the former MVP.

Head to Head

The Bucks hosted the Lakers on November 17 at Fiserv and won that game, 109-102. We need to say that LBJ didn’t play that game due to an injury. Meanwhile, Giannis had his show, scoring 47 points, demolishing the Lakers’ defense.

Prediction

The way the Bucks play at the moment, we would be surprised if they don’t win this game. They are looking much better than the Lakers who have lots of trouble. The spread on the Bucks is -4.5 points, and we would bet that they cover that, with the odds on this -110.
