MLS: LAFC vs. Dallas FC Preview, Odds, Prediction

The LAFC fanbase is on fire these days. After Gareth Bale’s signature, the fans are wild, and we can just imagine what the atmosphere will be like against Dallas FC this Wednesday at the Banc of California Stadium. The guests are a solid team, with several notable names, and it is no wonder why they sit fourth in the Western Conference after 16 games played. The boys from Texas are playing solid football and present a tough nut to crack. Meanwhile, LAFC is the top contender for the MLS Cup title, and they perform like that.

LAFC (-125) has four straight MLS games without a loss, but in the meantime, they suffered elimination from the US Open Cup. It was a very painful hit for the FC, mainly because the local rivals, LA Galaxy, handed it.

After that, LAFC won at home against San Jose, 3-2, and played 1-1 on the road in Seattle, before beating New York Red Bulls, 2-0, also at the Banc of California Stadium. FC Dallas (+375) is in a tough place right now, losing three of the past five games, getting one draw and a win besides that. The most recent event was in Austin, where Dallas managed to squeeze out a draw against the hosts, 2-2.

The defense has been the problem for Nico Estevez’s crew. They’ve allowed two or more goals in five of the most recent seven events. On some occasions, Dallas’ strikers covered up that, but in the majority of cases, they couldn’t.

Dallas’ games have been pretty efficient, and only two in the past ren weren’t with over 2.5 goals. The same goes for both teams scoring, and that is yet another proof of our claim that Dallas’ games are interesting.

The first and the most reliable pick here would be to be on the hosts to win. Dallas is a good team, but overall, LAFC is much better and has more diverse options in the attack. The odds on the home unit are set at -125, which is very good, having in mind that we have the leaders playing at home.
