EPL: Chelsea vs. Manchester United Preview, Odds, Prediction

Manchester United hosts Chelsea this Saturday. The two sides meet at Stamford Bridge in London, the home of the Blues, who have been looking rather well over the past few weeks. Their new manager, Graham Potter, sorted out all the problems right after his arrival, and Chelsea seems pretty tough right now. As for the Red Devils, they post good results and are on the rise, but still don’t have the desired consistency. The Cristiano Ronaldo saga is something that creates problems for manager Ten Hag, and the Portuguese megastar won’t be in the protocol for this event.

Chelsea (+105) is a favorite in this event, and the Blues earned that status with seven consecutive events without a defeat. Since Potter took over, this team found a positive rhythm, and before a draw in Brentford, they had five straight victories.

If we include the UEFA Champions League games, Chelsea didn’t concede in five matches in a row, and the opponents were AC Milan twice, Aston Villa, Wolves, and the above-mentioned Bees. Potter created a good balance between the midfield and the back line without taking anything from the offensive part of the game.

Chelsea has four wins and two draws at home this year and is still unbeaten. The past five of their contests at Stamford ended with moderate efficiency, meaning two or three goals.

Manchester United (+250) lost against Man City and, after that, had four wins and a draw. They had a poor start, then a period of outstanding performances, with wins over Liverpool and Arsenal, mixed with some mediocre displays in the UEFA Europa League.

Though lately, things are starting to look well for the Red Devils, especially in the back line. They didn’t allow a goal in the recent three games, which is an excellent improvement compared to the displays during September and early October.

This shouldn’t be an efficient game as well. The hosts are strong in the back line, and they don’t allow goals, and the same applies to the Red Devils lately. Under 2.5 goals is the first choice of our tipsters who believe that the respective game plans will be ultra-conservative. Nobody wants to lose, and another draw would be acceptable.
