Tottenham Hotspur host Manchester United on Saturday in London, hoping to stop the negative streak against the Red Devils. The Spurs took one point in Brentford last weekend and now wish to earn their first win of the year. Manchester did that against the Wolves, but their performance was terrible, to say the least. Erik Ten Hag was criticized on social networks, with the fans openly showing their displeasure with the way United played. That might be a chance for Tottenham, who is in a tough spot after losing its top player, Harry Kane.

Tottenham Hotspur (+180) played 2-2 in Brentford against the Bees. The Spurs took the lead early on, but allowed the home unit to flip the score midway through the first half and dominate the field. A very exciting opening 45 minutes closed with the guests netting an equalizer.

Surprisingly that was the final score of this enjoyable event. Neither team managed to impose its own tempo in the second half, although, we could say that the Spurs looked a bit more inferior than the Bees.

Ange Postecoglu faces many problems. After Kane’s departure to Bayern, he now needs to change the entire system of the team, especially in the attack. The whole team was working for Kane, and that now needs to be adjusted according to new circumstances.

Manchester United (+140) had fortune on its side against the Wolves, who were a better team on Monday night, and we aren’t afraid to say that. Varane’s goal was the only thing worth mentioning in Manchester’s game, and it’s no wonder why the fans showed displeasure on social networks following the match. 

Mason Mount didn’t do anything good in the attack, and the same goes for Marcus Rashford. Ten Hag stubbornly denies all the suggestions that United needs a typical striker, and time will show whether he is right or all those who criticize his formation and system.

United’s performances throughout the preseason have also shown vulnerability in the back line, with the Red Devils often allowing a goal or two. It’s another thing that has to be fixed.

Tottenham has a fragile defense, the same as Manchester, and it looks as if this bet has the most chance of turning out to be correct.
