Tyson Fury Accepts Stipe Miocic’s Challenge, Wants to Fight UFC Champ

November 13, 2019 By Nikola Velickovic Leave a Comment

According to the latest intel, Tyson Fury accepted Stipe Miocic’s challenge and is willing to meet the UFC heavyweight champ. This is the news that will no doubt make every MMA and boxing fan around the world very happy.

Fury (29-0-1) stated that he would like to cross paths with Stipe in the ring. The Gypsy King said that he first needs to clash with the American boxer Deontay Wilder, and as soon as he finishes that job, Stipe is next.

“Stipe says he wants to box me; that would be a good fight for sure,” Fury said. “After I get Wilder out of the way, I’ll fight Stipe in a boxing match if he wants it. It would be a big crossover fight like Mayweather and McGregor.”

The fight with the Bronze Bombers is one of the most anticipated in the world of boxing. The first meeting ended with a draw, and it left all of those who watched it, amazed. Fury was sent to the canvas twice but miraculously got up on both occasions. Wilders’ face when he saw his rival getting ready to continue the fight became epic. On the other side, Fury severely hurt the WBC champion, who was beaten like never before. A draw was the fairest result according to the majority of the experts.

Miocic (19-3 MMA, 13-3 UFC) apparently gave up from the plan to have another fight with Daniel Cormier, whom he knocked out at UFC 241, regaining his title. At the moment, there are no indications that Miocic could get back in octagon anytime soon. Therefore, he is open to other challenges, such as this one.

The date of this spectacle is not set, but it seems that it won’t take place before midway next year. Fury and Wilder should meet in February 2020, and if everything goes well, he might fight Stipe three or four months later.

The Brittish fella told that he wants to meet Miocic in the boxing ring, but MMA isn’t something strange for him. Fury did spend some time learning fighting skills with UFC’s Darren Till. The two met last week in Kaobon Gym, where “Gorilla” prepares himself for all the challenges.

Several pictures leaked in public, and many believe that Furu slowly starts to prepare himself for the match against Stipe.

“It was exciting training with Darren Till, and we get on like a house on fire.” “He put me through a hard training session, and it was really good.”

For sure, this fight will draw at least the same interest as the one between McGregor and Mayweather, if not bigger. The amount of money would be measured in hundreds of millions of dollars, and a substantial percentage from that cash-cake would end on fighters’ bank accounts.

As he always does, Fury started showing off with his trash talk, saying that Miocic doesn’t stand a chance against him and that the American champion will suffer the same fate as all the previous opponents, the Gypsy King faced with.

“It would be the same outcome for any of them: They’ll all get smashed,” Fury said.

It is up to the managers and the agents to organize this spectacle. They have everything in order to make a historic fight — two big champs, who are worldwide famous, with a massive fanbase.
