DFB Pokal: Bayern Munich vs. Eintracht Frankfurt Betting Preview, Odds and Prediction

The semifinals of the German DFB Pokal bring a clash between the reigning champions Bayern Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt, who won this competition two years ago. The two sides met recently, and the Bavarians posted a big win. But that was a Bundesliga match, while now we have different circumstances. This is a one-game elimination match, and when we have something like that, surprises are possible.

Bayern Munich (-800) is pretty much a favorite against any side in Germany, regardless of the venue or the competition. It will be no different in this case, as they come into this clash after a massive win in Leverkusen, 2-4, in which they demonstrated all of their power, by smashing one of the biggest rivals in the domestic competition. 

Since Bundesliga’s comeback, the Bavarians posted all five wins in three of them, now allowing a single goal and scoring four or more times in the same number of matches. We can say without any hesitation that they are the undisputed rulers of German football at this moment. 

Eintracht (+1500) is the only team in the last few years to score five goals during the regular ninety minutes against Bayern. They did this in the first part of the season in Frankfurt. Yes, they lost recently in Munich, but still, it is something that needs to be mentioned here. 

The Eagles won in Wolfsburg and in Bremen before losing at home in the previous round to Mainz 0-2, and they are in the lower part of the standings. The relegation zone is close, but they are not endangered as some other teams, even though Eintracht needs to win at least one more to be safe.

We are going with goals here, and to be more specific, Bayern’s goals. Over 1.5 in the first halftime regardless of who scores isn’t bringing some big profits, but if we pick Bayern to net twice in the opening 45 minutes, the moneyline is set at +125.
