Manchester City (+105) has one thing on their mind, and that is to beat Liverpool and show the new champions that they aren’t better than them. The Premiership is more or less Citizens’ warm-up for the Champions League, but this game will be anything but that. The rivalry is just too great to play a low-intensity affair here.

Right now, City looks good with three wins and a defeat against Chelsea. Apart from that game against the Blues, in the other three, Guardiola’s crew kept its net intact and was pretty confident in all aspects of the game. Three teams who were beaten then were Arsenal, Burnley, and Newcastle in the FA Cup.

On the other side, Liverpool (+230) played just two games, first against Everton 0-0, and later vs. Crystal Palace, 4-0, and unlike City, this is the finale of the season for them. Why?

Well, in order to be one of the legit contenders for history books, this team has to beat its greatest rival, which is City. They did that in the opening part of the season, but defeating the Sky-Blues at home would definitely establish this Reds’ team as one of the best ever.

L’pool doesn’t have the Champions League, doesn’t have anything else but this competition, so we can guess what the mindset is in their locker room regarding this event.
