Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills Roll Over Seattle Seahawks, 44-34

November 8, 2020 By Nikola Velickovic Leave a Comment

Buffalo Bills demonstrated their power today, with a confident victory over Seattle Seahawks, 44-34.

Following this victory, the Bills became a legit Super Bowl darkhorse, but to be honest, many already considered them as a potential surprise during the postseason.

Josh Allen had a clash with Russell Wilson, while their favorite receivers, Stefon Diggs and DK Metcalf, competed to catch more passes and move the chains downfield. However, there was also one very interesting thing at Buffalo Stadium. Both sides combined for 91 on the ground, and that is something nobody expected.

Pete Carroll spoke about that following the game. He and his team were preparing for lots of running coming from Bills’ side, but in the end, that didn’t happen at all.

“These guys didn’t even try to run the football today. We didn’t expect that to happen. We didn’t think they would totally abandon the running game. We had a really nice plan for how they were gonna run it. We have to be able to adapt better.”

The home team came into this event roaring, scoring two touchdowns in the first half of the opening quarter. Allen found Isaiah McKenzie and Tyler Kroft for a 14-0 lead. The same difference was at halftime, only the Seahawks scored some points as well, 24-10.

Guests from Seattle threatened at the end of the third, with 10 straight points, coming within one possession, 27-20. Yet the response was pretty cruel. Zack Moss and Allen rushed one TD each in another blitz, posting their respective scores less than two minutes apart.

David Moore’s 55-yard catch sparked some hope among the visiting side, but that didn’t last too long, due to the Bills’ confident play. Eventually, they would notch another win, their seventh in this campaign, confidently topping the AFC East Conference.

Allen had just seven incompleted passes, for 415 yards, and three touchdowns, without a single interception. He also added one TD on the ground, and was masterful, despite being sacked seven times in tonight’s performance.

He had a huge motive to win this matchup. Allen’s grandmother died last night, and Bills’ head coach Sean McDermott spoke about that.

“I called Josh [last night] and asked where he was on it… he said he wanted to play, and we just felt like he was going to have to compartmentalize for the better part of 24 hours, and that’s what he did… not an easy thing to play through.”

Stefon Diggs didn’t have a single TD catch, but he yielded 118 yards. John Brown had 99, and Gabriel Davis 70 with one TD. Cole Beasley posted 39.

Russell Wilson didn’ have a great night at all. The frontrunner for the MVP award had 390 yards, for two TDs, but also with two interceptions and two fumbles. Wilson struggled to find his rhythm, and he couldn’t do it until the end of the event.

Metcalf had 108 receiving yards, while Moore added 71. Travis Homer stopped at 64, four more than Jacob Hollister.

Seattle’s players now have two big divisional games ahead of themselves. The first is on the road against the LA Rams, and after that they await the Arizona Cardinals. The situation in the NFC West is very complicated, and Carroll’s unit mustn’t lose either of these clashes in order to secure the No.1 place in the assembly.

The Bills, too, have a nasty schedule. At first, they host the LA Chargers and following that travel to San Francisco to play against the 49ers. During the second weekend of December, Allen and the crew await the Steelers.
