Cris Cyborg Accuses Dana White and Joe Rogan of Bullying

July 30, 2019 By Nikola Velickovic Leave a Comment

Cris Cyborg decided to speak up and rip Dana White, claiming that UFC’s president bullies her for quite some time. In her address to the public, the Brazilian fighter told many things about White, but this one is the most interesting.

Cristiane Justino Venâncio, a.k.a. Cris Cyborg stated that White made all sorts of comments on her account, which is something that deeply affected her family and the people around her. She mentioned some of the outbursts, in which UFC’s boss stated that Cyborg looks like Wanderlei Silva in a dress. Also, the fighter didn’t spare Joe Rogan who also had several rude comments about her, one of them saying that she has male genitalia.

For Cyborg, this is not right, and she doesn’t want to experience any unpleasant situation because of it.

“I’m suffering bullying,” she said. “Where is the code that you don’t do this? He is the boss. How does the boss make fun of your athlete? It’s a girl, say she has a penis, she’s a guy. You have to have rules. This is not right.”

She especially mentioned her family as the side which suffers the most.

“I have a daughter, I have a mom, I have a dad. My daughter had a problem in school already because of this.”

The reason for this dispute between is still unknown. According to the fighter, she too doesn’t know what started all this. But what is sure is that White’s behavior damaged her and her brand in the past. As one of the examples, Cybor mentioned White’s claim that she doesn’t want a rematch with Amanda Nunes, and that she avoids one.

The fighter and the president met briefly in the backstage, after the UFC 240 last Saturday. Back then Cyborg had a quick talk with White, aking him why he lies the public about her.

“I look in his eyes, and I shake his hand, and I say, ‘Why are you lying? I texted your phone after the fight. I want my rematch.’ And then I said, ‘Why are you doing this?’ Why? He didn’t have words. There were a lot of cameras there, too.”

The 34-year-old Brazilian didn’t spare Joe Rogan also, stating that he deliberately commented her match against Felicia Spencer differently that it really was. Cyborg is positive that Rogan wanted to bend the real impression and made her look far less dominant than she actually was. To support that claim, she mentioned statistical data, which tells that her performance was the most commanding one during the entire event.

“Joe Rogan commentated the fight and made it look like it was a very hard fight,” she bitterly declared.

Cyborg was one of the most dominant faces of UFC for more than a decade. After losing her first MMA fight against Erica Paes in 2005, she had 20 straight victories up until last December, when Amanda Nunes took her featherweight belt. It was a first-round knockout which severely damaged her reputation and threatened to cast a shadow on her entire legacy.

Because of that, Cyborg wants a rematch and another chance against arguably the best female fighter in UFC’s history. Though, she isn’t willing to play by White’s rules anymore. In order for her to sign a new contract with the UFC, the president has to apologize first. After that, the two sides will have a meeting to arrange all the conditions for the fight.

“Of course, he has to apologize,” she said.

Cyborg has 20 wins and two losses in her career and was undefeated for more than 14 years before losing to Nunes.
