MLS: FC Cincinnati vs. New England Revolution Preview, Betting Tips, Predictions, Picks

The leaders of the Eastern Conference and one of the contenders for winning this year’s MLS Cup, FC Cincinnati and New England Revolution clash at the TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. Hosts have 43 points, seven more than the Revs, whose form is on the rise. Now, even though this is a solid lead, Cinci has to go out to win because three points here would cement their top position. The Revs are in a more complicated situation, with several teams pressuring them at No.2. Them winning here is an absolute must.

FC Cincinnati (+100) is perfect at home and holds the best record in the MLS right now. They have had ten triumphs after ten appearances at the TQL Stadium, with 19 goals scored and only five allowed. So basically, their home games have been the crucial reason why FC sits atop the conference. 

Pat Noonan’s crew lost on the road last week to Wayne Rooney’s Washington DC, 3-0, and that was an unpleasant prequel for this event. Yes, Cinci lacked two important players, Vazquez and Miazaga, but still, that can’t be an alibi for such a disastrous performance.

In four of the previous five home matches, Cinci scored at least twice, and the same games ended with at least three goals. FC is ruthless, relentless, and very flamboyant at TQL, regardless of the lineup.

New England Revolution (+225) gradually increased its form, and after three losses and three draws, they won three in a row in the past 20 days, beating Inter Miani and Orlando City, 3-1 both, and Toronto FC, 2-1. All of these events were at the Gillette Stadium. 

The Revs play interesting events, with seven of the previous eight ending with three or more goals. During that span, only two of them ended with one side netting, and all involved both teams when it came to scoring. 

New England isn’t that good on the road, and for the moment, they are riding a four-game winless streak, losing back-to-back events at first to Inter Miami and Philly Union and then posting two ties, in Atlanta and New Tork City.
