Minnesota has three consecutive victories, and they really stepped up over the past few weeks. SKC had a little slowdown, but they, too, are solid when looking at the overall picture in the previous six or seven weeks. Minnesota United (-125) posted three wins in a row. It all started against Galaxy in LA, 2-3, Real Salt Lake, 3-2, and the last one was in Vancouver against Whitecaps, 1-3. As you can see, their attack has been quite impressive, covering up for the defensive mistakes.
Adrian Heath’s team likes to play open and offensive-minded football, only sometimes that comes back at them as a boomerang, with the rivals tearing apart their back line. The last six games all saw both teams scoring and with at least three goals.
Meanwhile, the previous three were with at least four hits, which clearly tells us that United relies upon a fierce attack. Minnesota needs to be aggressive here, win all three points, and move up the ladder in the playoff zone, securing its status.
Sporting Kansas City (+450) snapped three points in Montreal, beating CF, 1-2, and triumphing after back-to-back losses, one in Seattle, 3-0 and at home to the Red Bulls, 0-1. Peter Vermes’ guys weren’t able to score during those 180 minutes, but all that changed in Canada.
We’ve already written that the injuries are killing this team, who is last in the conference with San Jose, tied at the bottom, though, with two games more than the Quakes. Vermes tries to find a solution and replacement for all the missing stars, but that proves to be a tough task even for him.
They have the worst defense in the West with 34 goals conceded, and on the other side, the worst offense as well, with only 18 goals scored. SKC is the only team that didn’t reach 20 hits.

Patrick Weah and Hassani Dotson are out due to knee injuries, Niko Hansen and Romain Metanire have thigh problems, and Kervin Arriaga injured his ankle.
SKC won’t have Gadi Kinda, Alan Pulido, Ozzie Cisneros, Nikola Vujnovic and Kortne Ford. Graham Zusi is questionable for this event.

The home team is a big favorite, not only because they play well, but due to guests’ struggles on all fields. United’s attackers are in good shape, and opposite to them, they have the worst and the most fragile defense in the MLS, and they simply have to use that. The odds on United’s win are solid, and we recommend taking them. All the logic points to this outcome, so why not going for it.
