NBA: LA Clippers vs. LA Lakers Betting Preview, Odds, Prediction

The Lakers and the Clippers are about to mark the restart of the NBA league. Even though this isn’t the first game after the hiatus, it is the central event of the day in the world of sports. Both sides have their problems, but we might say that the Clips are in a bit tougher situation as they have several questionable players for tonight’s event.

Clippers (+155) are chasing their local rivals who are sitting at the top of the Western Conference. It would be honest to say that the chances for reaching the LAL are close to zero, and even though we have to respect the math and the theory which gives some hope to the Clips’ fans, do know that such a scenario won’t happen. Five wins are too big of a difference in this case.

Doc Rivers’ and his boys played three scrimmage games, winning two of them and losing in the final one against the Sacramento Kings, 102-106. Previously, they would defeat the Wizards, 105-100, and the Orlando Magic 99-90. 

Both PG and Kawhi are ready to roll, and they posted solid performances against the Lakers throughout this campaign. 

Lakers (-150) lost the first game in the bubble and, after that, won the latter two. Boban and the Mavs were better than the purple and gold 108-104. After that, LBJ and the boys went on to beat the Magic 119-112 and the Wizards 123-116.

Frank Vogel was looking to find a suitable replacement for Rajon Rondo at the point guard position, because of the veteran’s injury, which would separate him from the court for some time. It was obvious that apart from James, there aren’t many players who can organize the Lakers’ game, and that this might be a potential problem in the future.

Montrezl Harrell definitely won’t play even though there were some indications that the Clippers’ big guy could appear tonight. According to the official statements, Lou Williams is a game-time decision, but be sure that he too won’t be in the lineup after his party in the strip club. Patrik Beverly and Ivica Zubac are, however, eligible and will probably play.

On the other side, Rondo is out, as well as Avery Bradley, who decided to opt-out because of health concerns. Anthony Davis, who had an eye injury, is expected to play, while Alex Caruso stands as questionable.

The spread in this one is -4 on the Lakers who are the favorites, and the over/under limit at 215.5. From our point of view, this is a game which should go under the limit. It is the first one after a long period, with both sides having their own problems in the rotation, and with rust after four months of not having a competitive match.
