Paul Pogba Makes an Earthquake: “I Would Like to Play For Real Madrid”

March 21, 2019 By Nikola Velickovic Leave a Comment

Paul Pogba is one of the best and most famous soccer players in the world. The controversial French midfielder often amazes the fans across the globe with some of his actions, whether that comes on or off the field.

The reactions produced are both negative and positive, but if we set that aside, one thing is sure – he is in the middle of the media attention all the time.

Earlier today, Manchester United’s leader spoke with the media before France’s clash with Moldova. Apart from usual talks about the upcoming opponent, tactics, playing for the national team, etc., there were several other questions which were considering his personal plans and some other interesting topics.

One of them made United’s fans very nervous. It was about playing for Real Madrid, under his countryman and one of the greatest players ever, Zinedine Zidane.

Pogba was pretty straightforward and stated that wearing Real’s jersey would be a dream come through, the same as working with Zidane.

“Like I’ve always said, Real Madrid is a dream for anyone. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world,” Pogba said and continued. “There is also Zidane as a coach and it’s a dream for anybody who likes football.”

This isn’t the first time for the Frenchman to make unusual comments when everything seems fine. At the moment, his United finally started playing well, and since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer arrived, the Red Devils made chaos in both Premier and the Champions League.

It is unknown what made him issue this kind of statement now when the team’s form and the overall state of the organization go in the right direction.

Pogba is known as a guy who regularly makes some unwise moves, both on and off the court, and this is definitely one of them. Though United’s fans love this guy, they already had several remarks on his behavior in the past.

Current World Cup winner did add after, that right now he feels happy in Manchester, but also said that anything is possible in the future.

“For now, I’m at Manchester. We don’t know what the future holds. I’m at Manchester, and I’m happy.”

Though Pogba might be happy, after this interview United’s fans aren’t going to share the same excitement, that is for sure.

He also spoke about the current situation in the team, saying that since Solskjaer took over the charge at Old Trafford, things dramatically improved.

According to former Juventus member, the Norwegian should become a long-term solution for United’s managerial position, and added that the whole team feels the same.

“Of course we want him to stay,” Pogba said of Solskjaer. “The results have been great. I have a great relationship with him, he has a great relationship with the players.”

There are many reasons for that, starting with the fact that Solskjaer brought back confidence in the locker room, something which vanished under Jose Mourinho. All that caused for the players to be more relaxed and feel happy on the field.

“He is a really happy coach that gave confidence back to the players. This gave us the freedom to play and enjoy football again because maybe we lost that with the results that we had before.”

The Frenchman reminded everybody that Solskjaer also knows the system of the club, has a great relationship with the fans which dates back way back in the past, and above all, he loves Untied unconditionally.

In the latter part of the media session, Pogba spoke about the time when Jose Mourinho led United. He mentioned the fact that the confidence among the players was low at the time, and that it definitely affected the results. Many players didn’t experience anything like that previously, and that influenced their performances too.

The player concluded that it is all over now and that his focus is on the future and not the past, refusing to speak about the stint under the Portuguese.

We’re anxious to see what future at Trafford holds for him after saying that he would like to play for Real.
