What were the Blues to English and world football at one point, Newcastle threatens to become now. Even though the Magpies didn’t start spending their limitless cash, we are slowly getting the new power on the horizon. Meanwhile, Chelsea is in trouble, and ever since the English government forced Roman Abramovich to leave Stamford Bridge, the situation for the Blues worsened.

Chelsea (+145) has made numerous changes to its roster over the past six months, and they aren’t finished yet. The new management is obviously wandering around in search of the winning formula, and the manager Pochettino will be under pressure to produce some results. 

The team from Stamford Bridge has several blasting youngsters whose potential is massive, and it’s up to Poch to develop them properly. Though, that youth is something that might cause oscillations because all of these players never played under the current circumstances. 

Chelsea met with Wrexham, whom they trashed 5-0, and most recently, with Brighton. That game was superb for all who watched, ending 4-3 for the Blues. Nkunku scored, Mudryk as well, and Nicolas Jackson, who came from Villarreal, scored and had two assists in less than 30 minutes on the field. 

Newcastle (+165) prepares for the UEFA Champions League, and Eddie Howe already demands the utmost focus and motivation. As usual, he wasn’t too greedy during the transfer window. He wanted Sandro Tonali and Harvey Barnes, which he got. 

The Magpies played three club-friendly games this summer, winning two and having one tie, in the most recent against Aston Villa, 3-3. The interesting thing here is that Newcastle conceded six times in all of them

Prediction

Chelsea’s defense is vulnerable and has plenty of flaws. That’s been the case since the start of the previous campaign, and it escalated as time went by. Meanwhile, the attack looks promising, with Mudryk and Nkunku slowly teaming up. Newcastle’s recent meetings are extremely efficient, and we don’t know whether is that only temporary or Howe’s new approach. Remember, he played very appealing football in Bournemouth. We would go with over 2.5 goals and both teams to score here with the odds at -115.
